Malte Köllner honoured in Handelsblatt Best Lawyers Ranking 2024

Dr. Malte Köllner was honoured in the Handelsblatt Ranking 2024 for Intellectual Property among the "Best Lawyers".

The German business magazine Handelsblatt, in cooperation with the publishing house Best Lawyers, has announced the new ranking of the best lawyers and (patent) law firms in Germany for the year 2024. Every year, the US publishing house Best Lawyers identifies the most renowned lawyers in various fields of law.

We are pleased that Dr. Malte Köllner is again honoured in the 2024 ranking for "Intellectual Property", as in previous years.

In Germany, Dr. Malte Köllner is committed to clarifying patent law in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
Who is the inventor? Who must be named as the inventor in a patent application? Can an AI invention be protected as a patent at all?

These questions have been and are being discussed before the patent offices and patent courts for the "inventions" of the AI DABUS by Stephen Thaler, Ph.D. (USA). Dr. Malte Köllner represents Mr. Thaler in Germany and is also a member of the international Artifical Inventor Project.
